A Paranormal Holiday Tale
Writers are always looking for ways to reach new readers, and Wattpad is touted as being a good option. I have posted “The Antinomy or Nikolaos of Myra” there. Combining historical detail with the paranormal, this visceral novella takes you on a trip to a strange place that few ever experience. Originally a gift for my beautiful wife, I’m now sharing it on Wattpad. Happy Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Yule, Saturnalia, Solstice, Pancha Ganapati, and Yalda! You can also click here for a pdf file of THE ANTINOMY.

David Newman-Stille of Speculating Canada reviews The Betelgeuse Oracle here.
Through the vision of cities as wastelands of abandoned technology, deserts of lifeless buildings and suffering humanity, Macchiusi calls on readers to look critically at the society we are creating and our separation from the natural world.

“Apocalyptic fiction has exploded with the turn of the millennium (see The Stand, The Hunger Games, Y: The Last Man, The Walking Dead) but Joseph Macchiusi has deftly pinpointed what would be the most catastrophic disaster of all…Try reading this beautifully written and gripping story and not have the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end, wondering, “What would I do?” A cautionary tale that is as terrifying as it is unputdownable.” — Nikki Stafford, author of the Finding Lost series of books
